The Humane Society Wildlife Land Trust (WLT), a separately incorporated charitable organization, protects wild animals worldwide by preserving their natural habitats and providing them sanctuary within those habitats. Wildlife Land Trust sanctuaries restrict development and types of logging, and prohibit recreational and commercial hunting and trapping. Animals in these sanctuaries benefit from the principles of kindness, justice, compassion, and respect for life.
WLT is involved in the protection and conservation of millions of acres in 37 states and eight foreign countries. Landowners can arrange to have WLT permanently protect their properties, and they may be eligible for income and property tax savings by selecting any one of several conservation options.
