The HSUS filed an amicus brief asking the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit to reverse a district court's ruling that the State of Texas does not have authority to enforce a law prohibiting the sale, possession, and transfer of horsemeat. The Court recently upheld the state law.
