Issue features cover story on Nashville-based singer, songwriter, animal advocate and HSUS donor Emmylou Harris, whose 60th birthday fundraiser for The HSUS is now online at www.hsus.org/emmylou. Also contains profiles on novelist Belva Plain and other major contributors: a California woman who hosted a birthday party to raise funds for The HSUS and a man from Virginia who supports humane education in rural Alaska after making several trips there.
