In cities and towns across the country, The Humane Society of the United States is working to carry out its mission to celebrate animals and confront cruelty. With regional staff in 33 states, no matter where you live, we provide you with the information and assistance you need. Find out what we're doing in your region and how we can help you help animals.
Meet Our State Directors Every day, The HSUS’s regional and state directors make it their business to speak for animals who aren't able to speak for themselves.
They often are the first to get called about animal cruelty, when disaster threatens, or it’s time to pass laws for animals.
A Regional Perspective One of our top priorities around the country is to put an end to the bitter business of puppy mills. Our state directors work with local law enforcement and others to uncover the abuses and have helped saved thousands of dogs in the past year alone.
